Michelle Lester, MHSA, MSW, LCSWA

Michelle is an experienced, trained clinician who works hard as a professional by committing to empowering recovery and growth in the lives of diverse individuals. Michelle is dedicated to helping adult clients break through complex challenges to enhance their mental health.

Michelle received her Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from Simmons University in 2020 with a focus in Advanced Clinical Practice. Also, she holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and an undergraduate degree in Social Work. In addition, Michelle has a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW). Michelle has over a decade of experience serving adolescents, adults, and families in the community. She is a Member of the National Association of Social Workers and serves in various organizations to help with community service needs.

Michelle provided counseling for adolescents with various mental health needs at a Private Residential Treatment Facility during her graduate studies. Also, while in graduate school, she worked at a Private Practice providing therapy with diverse populations. Michelle has ten years of experience working with all populations in the hospital as Director of Case Management. Also, she has worked for over six years at a non-profit organization providing community resources, counseling, and coordinating services.

Her theoretical orientation includes a systems theory approach to understanding the “person in the environment.” Michelle helps you explore your feelings by using various systems and focusing on your strengths. She pulls from treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Techniques, and more to meet your specific needs. Additionally, Michelle attends training/seminars and continuing education to keep current on evidence-based therapies and increase her knowledge. You may ask for links, brochures, or worksheets to learn more about any practices that Michelle utilizes.

Michelle has been married for over 12 years with one kid and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In addition, she enjoys running and volunteering in her community. Also, Michelle enjoys traveling and good food.
